1. Handling & General Care
Handblown Glass Vase
- Temperature Awareness: Avoid sudden temperature changes. Rinse or wash with water that’s approximately the same temperature as the glass to prevent thermal shock.
- Secure Grip: Hold with both hands when moving your hookah. The vase and metal components together can be heavy (10–15 kg).
- Surfaces: Place on a stable, flat surface to reduce the risk of tipping or impact.
Metallic Parts (Stainless Steel or Titanium)
- Gentle Cleaning: Use mild soap or detergent with warm water. Avoid harsh or abrasive chemicals to maintain surface finish.
- Titanium-Specific Care: If your hookah is made of Titanium Grade 5, always hand-clean it. Aggressive cleaning agents or rough sponges can damage the finish.
- Dry Thoroughly: Wipe dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots or discoloration.
O-Rings & Silicone Hose
- O-Ring Maintenance: Remove o-rings gently to avoid stretching or tearing. Check periodically for any wear, and replace if they become damaged or loose.
- Hose Handling: Detach the silicone hose from the hose connector and rinse with mild, soapy water. Hang or lay it flat to dry, ensuring no kinks develop.
2. Cleaning the Molasses Catcher
- Unscrew the Bowl Connector
- Twist off the bowl connector (the topmost metal piece) just above the ashtray.
- Lift Up the Ashtray
- Once the connector is removed, simply slide the ashtray upward and off the main shaft.
- Access & Clean
- With the ashtray removed, you can easily reach and wipe away any residue in the built-in molasses catcher.
- Rinse the catcher with warm water and mild soap if needed.
- Allow it to dry completely before reassembling.
3. Assembly & Reassembly Tips
- Check Seals: Ensure o-rings are positioned correctly when reattaching components to maintain an airtight seal.
- Align Components: Reinsert the shaft and molasses catcher properly to avoid cross-threading.
- Secure Fit: Gently tighten metal parts—over-tightening can damage threads or seals.
4. Storage & Transport
- Protective Case: If your set includes a custom case, use it for safe storage or travel.
- Separate Components: Disassemble the shaft, ashtray, bowl connector, and hose before placing them in the case to reduce impact risk.
- Cushioned Placement: Ensure your glass vase is well padded or wrapped during transport to prevent scratches or cracks.
5. Final Reminders
- Regular Rinsing: Clean your hookah after each session to maintain peak performance and avoid buildup.
- Inspect Periodically: Check for signs of wear on o-rings, threads, or other parts. Replace as needed to prolong the life of your hookah.
- Avoid Excessive Heat: While stainless steel or titanium can handle high temperatures, direct flame contact on glass or repeated exposure to extreme heat can cause damage.
